In Down to Earth: Politics in the New Climatic Regime, Bruno Latour described how Earth today is a planet that lacks space. There is nowhere left to colonize, no more resources to exploit, and, with the temperature and sea levels on the rise, physically fewer places to live. The global elites have to physically and metaphorically hide behind walls that keep them in another world from the remaining 99% of the population. In my work Explorations of No-Space, I began to probe Earth as a world no longer with a horizon, and with nothing pristine left to offer. As a Non-global elite with zero survival training, what does life in the New Climatic Regime look like? Can you ever find sustainable existence in a world plundered, rendered toxic, and hot?
